I can turn off the dome lights by pressing the door switch button but that does not keep the rear light from lighting. There is no switch by the light and I can not find any information ... Something is keeping it "locked" in that position. I've tried applying pressure in the direction that would cause it to open while at the same time engaging the actuator that you use to open the liftgate. That hasn't worked either. After I did, the liftgate shut fine, but not it won't open at all. I've tried the button on the inside, the key fob, and the button on the liftgate. Nothing seems to work. The problem is that the rubber button isn't working so regardless of FOB proximity the hatch won't trigger the release. I assume the above because when teh car is completely unlocked you can walk up an open the hatch even without a FOB on your person. Mine now does not allow this. Anyway - my car is at dealer.
